Wicky Wednesdays at Wicksteed Park: Meet Wicky Bear This June

If you’re looking for a reason to get the kids out of the house this June, this one is seriously cute. Wicksteed Park in Kettering is running Wicky Wednesdays on two more dates this month, and if your little ones have never met the park’s loveable mascot Wicky Bear, now is the perfect time to go. It’s the kind of low-key, fun-filled day out that doesn’t cost a fortune but feels like a proper treat for little ones – and let’s be honest, that’s exactly what we’re all after.

What Are Wicky Wednesdays?

Wicky Wednesdays are special themed days at Wicksteed Park built around the park’s much-loved mascot, Wicky Bear. Running from 10am until 4pm, the days are packed with family-friendly fun across a handful of classic park attractions.

The highlight for little ones is undoubtedly the chance to meet Wicky Bear in person. At 12pm on each Wicky Wednesday, Wicky Bear will be at the Ice Cream Parlour for a meet and greet – or you might spot him roaming around the park too, so keep your eyes peeled!

Which Attractions Are Open?

The following attractions are open for Wicky Wednesdays:

  • Wicksteed Park Railway
  • Wicky’s Farmyard
  • Pig N Putt crazy golf
  • Carousel
  • Heritage Toy Roundabout
  • Cups and Saucers

It’s a lovely mix of gentle, age-appropriate fun – especially suited to younger children who want to ride the Carousel a dozen times (we all know how that goes).

The Wicky Bear Spotter’s Sheet

There’s an extra little activity to keep the kids busy too. Pick up a spotter’s sheet from the Gift Shop, complete it during your visit, and hand it back in for the chance to be entered into a prize draw to win a complimentary return visit. It gives them something to focus on as you wander around, which is always a bonus.

How Much Does It Cost?

Wristbands for Wicky Wednesdays are priced at £10 per person, which covers all the open attractions. If you’d prefer to pick and choose, individual ride tickets are available at £3.50 each on the day. Children under 0.9m go free when accompanied by a paying adult – brilliant if you have a tiny one in tow who just wants to enjoy the atmosphere and farmyard animals.

Please note that regular parking charges apply.

Wristbands can be booked online in advance via the Wicksteed Park website.

When Are the Remaining Wicky Wednesdays?

There are two Wicky Wednesday dates still to come in June 2026:

  • Wednesday 17th June
  • Wednesday 24th June

All sessions run from 10am to 4pm.
