Musical Theatre Workshops Are Coming to The Lighthouse Theatre This August

If you’ve got a little performer at home who’s forever putting on shows in the living room, I think I’ve found something they’ll love. KD Academy is teaming up with The Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering this summer for two days of musical theatre workshops, and it sounds like exactly the kind of thing that brings out a child’s confidence while they’re having an absolute blast.

Here’s everything you need to know if you fancy booking your child in.

What’s happening

KD Academy, in partnership with The Lighthouse Theatre, is running two musical theatre filled days taught by the KD Theatre Academy team. It’s a chance for young performers to learn from experienced tutors and get stuck into some proper musical theatre training.

When and where

• Thursday 13th and Friday 14th August 2026
• 10am – 4pm each day
• The Lighthouse Theatre, Kettering Leisure Village, Thurston Drive, Kettering NN15 6PB
• Open to ages 5–18

Cost

It’s £33 per day, or £30 per day if your child is already a KD Academy student. Once you’ve booked, you’ll be sent a quick registration form to complete for your child.

Worth knowing before you book: places are first come first served with limited spaces, and it’s a no refund policy, so it’s worth being sure of your dates before you commit.
