Halloween Half-Term at Wicksteed Park
Half term is creeping up again and if you’re after a plan that ticks off rides, spooky fun and tired-out kids in one go, this one’s for you.
Wicksteed Park’s Halloween Half-Term is back, running from Saturday 24th October right through to Sunday 1st November 2026, and it’s one of those days out that genuinely covers all bases. Little ones, bigger kids, and anyone who fancies a proper Halloween atmosphere without travelling too far are all catered for, and if you can’t wait until half term, Halloween Haunt opens on the October weekends too.
When it’s on
- Dates: Saturday 24th October to Sunday 1st November 2026
- Time: 10:30am to 4pm
- Location: Wicksteed Park, Barton Road, Kettering, NN15 6NJ

Halloween Haunt also runs on the October weekends before half term, so it’s a good option if your half-term week is already filling up.

- Time: 10:30am to 4pm
- Wristbands: same prices as half term (see below)

Meet Mr and Mrs Halloween
This year Halloween Haunt is back with Chapter 3: The Legends, created in partnership with Halloween House Entertainment. The people behind it are local husband-and-wife team Steve and Kat Richardson, better known as Mr and Mrs Halloween, who fittingly live in the original Cemetery House in Rushden. Their collection of Halloween props, collectibles and animatronics is thought to be the biggest in the country, at around 2,000 items gathered over more than ten years.
Inside Halloween Haunt Chapter 3
Halloween Haunt is thought to be the only family-friendly interactive Halloween walkthrough in the UK, and your wristband gets you two walkthroughs in one. The main 200ft walkthrough features wicked witches, spooky skeletons, creepy ghosts and a condemned zombie laboratory, alongside a 10-foot animatronic reaper, vampires, werewolves and spiders. The Legends theme also brings in classic Halloween monsters and special guests like Frankenstein and the Mummy, plus a few extra jump scares.
If you’ve got younger or more nervous children, there’s a mini walkthrough just for them, as well as I-Spy games for children and adults and information boards about the legends of Halloween. The main walkthrough is fully wheelchair accessible.
What’s included
Your wristband covers unlimited access to all open rides plus admission to Halloween Haunt Chapter 3. During half term you’ll also get Zoolab’s spooky potions show in Wicky Bear’s Theatre, and the first weekend of half term kicks off with the Halloween Craft and Readers Fair. There’s also an outdoor trail to solve a mystery around the park, which is a nice way to get everyone moving between rides.
Rides open include Astroslide, Treetop Walk, Rocking Tug, Clown Coaster, Wicky’s Mini Farmyard, Pig N Putt, Roundabout, Cups and Saucers, Lighthouse, Carousel, Sway Rider and the Wicksteed Railway.
Prices
- Children under 16: £16
- Adults: £10
- Children under 0.9m: free with a paying adult
Wicksteed Park’s usual parking charges apply on top of your wristband. Wristbands can be booked online in advance directly through Wicksteed Park, and with half term always being a popular time to visit, I’d get yours sorted sooner rather than later.
All rides open this weekend
If you fancy one last go on everything before the Halloween line-up takes over, all of Wicksteed Park’s ride areas and attractions are open on the first weekend of October, the last chance to enjoy them all this year. Wristbands bought on the day at the park are £22, the same as the online price.
If Wicksteed Park is already a regular on your list, you might remember that Wicky Bear recently picked up a lifetime achievement award for 25 years of greeting families through the gates, so keep an eye out for him while you’re there.
