Grumpy Rosetta Storytelling at Volta Books
If you are after something gentle, free and a little bit magical to do with the kids on Halloween, this one is for you. Local author Juliet Timpson is bringing her little witch, Grumpy Rosetta, to Volta Books in Wellingborough’s Nene Court Shopping Centre on Saturday 31st October, with two free storytelling sessions for children aged 3 to 10.
Free Storytelling in Wellingborough This Halloween
Juliet will be in the shop from 10am to 4pm, and she will be running a free storytelling session at 11am and again at 2pm. Entry is free and there are no tickets to book, so you can just turn up on the day.
Her books will also be available to buy directly from her, so if your little one falls for Grumpy Rosetta, you can take a copy home and maybe even have a chat with the author who wrote it. I love the idea of kids getting to meet a real local author. It makes books feel that bit more special.
Who Is Grumpy Rosetta?
Grumpy Rosetta is a little witch who doesn’t feel like she fits in, but luckily she stumbles into a world of new possibilities. It’s a lovely message for little ones, especially any who sometimes feel a bit different, and a witch makes it the perfect story for Halloween day.
The books are recommended for ages 3 to 10, so it works well if you have a mix of ages in tow.
