Daventry Christmas Market and Festive Fun

Get the diary out, because this is one to plan your weekend around.

Daventry Christmas Market and Festive Fun is back on Saturday 21st November, taking over the town centre from 10am to 3pm with independent festive stalls, Santa in his sleigh, real reindeer and a whole load of free activities for the kids. Entry is free, parking is free, and it’s a lovely way to kick off the Christmas season without spending a fortune.

What’s at Daventry Christmas Market?

The market spreads across Daventry High Street, Bowen Square, Foundry Walk and Sheaf Street, with independent stallholders selling unique Christmas gifts and crafts. If you’ve been meaning to make a start on the Christmas shopping, this is a good excuse to tick a few things off the list while the kids are entertained.

There’ll also be hot food and drink stalls, so you can warm up with something tasty as you wander round.

See Santa, no booking needed

This is the bit the little ones will love. Santa is coming to town in his sleigh from The Rotary and will be sitting on the High Street for all the children to say hello to. You don’t need an appointment, just pop along on the day. If you’ve got a child desperate to see Father Christmas but you’re not ready to fork out for a grotto yet, this is a brilliant free option.

Free festive activities for kids

On top of the market and Santa, there’s plenty more to keep the kids busy:

  • Santa’s real reindeer
  • A giant Snow Globe Experience
  • Festive face painting
  • A choir
  • Children’s crafts
  • A Christmas Tree Trail
  • A stilt walking Elf

That’s a lot of festive fun for a free day out.
