Right, if you’ve got a little performer at home who’s forever putting on shows in the living room or belting out musical numbers in the bath, I think I’ve found your summer holiday sorted. Castle Theatre in Wellingborough is bringing back Castle Fest for 2026, and it’s five full days of dance, drama, musical theatre and creative arts for kids aged 6 to 16. Whether your child wants to dip a toe in for one day or go all in for the whole week, it sounds like exactly the kind of half term keep-them-busy solution we’re all after.

About Castle Fest 2026

Castle Fest returns this summer with five exciting days of performing arts workshops for young creatives aged 6–16. Join us at Castle Theatre as we sing, dance, act, and create through a week of musical magic, movie moments, and storytelling adventures.

Each day is led by our Castle Arts team, featuring expert-led sessions in dance, drama, musical theatre, and creative crafts. We are also delighted to welcome special guest artists who will drop in throughout the week to deliver pop-up workshops and inspiring creative demos!

  • Registration: You’ll need to register your child’s details here — if a completed form hasn’t been received, the Castle Theatre team will be in touch to get the details they need before your child can take part

Castle Theatre has been run by Parkwood Theatres since 2019 and has grown into one of the liveliest arts venues in Northamptonshire, so your kids will be learning in a proper theatre setting rather than a school hall — always a nice touch when they’re feeling like real performers for the week.
