Blippi Live on Stage
Right, if you’ve got a Blippi fan in the house, you’ll already know exactly what I’m talking about. If your little one can namecheck an excavator faster than they can find their shoes in the morning, this one’s for them. Blippi is bringing his brand new stage show to Northampton this September, with two chances to catch him live at Royal & Derngate.
What is the Be Like Blippi Tour?
Blippi has gone from a single YouTube channel to a genuine worldwide phenomenon for preschoolers, and now he’s touring the UK live on stage in the all-new Be Like Blippi Tour. The show is built around Blippi’s whole thing: turning everyday curiosity into an adventure. Expect high-energy music, plenty of interaction, and all the fan-favourite songs little ones will already know by heart, including The Excavator Song, Monster Truck, Dino Dance and Curious Like Me. Blippi is joined on stage by his friend Meekah, and both characters are played by professional stage performers as part of the touring production.
It’s aimed squarely at preschool and early primary age children, so if you’ve got a toddler or a young child who lives for Blippi videos, this is about as close to the real thing as it gets.
Date, Times and Venue
The Be Like Blippi Tour comes to Royal & Derngate on Sunday 27 September, with two performances on the day: 1pm and 4pm. The venue is right in the centre of Northampton at 19-21 Guildhall Road, NN1 1DP, so it’s an easy one to combine with lunch or a wander round town either side of the show.

With two show times on the same day, it’s worth thinking about which slot suits your family’s routine best, particularly if you’ve got a little one who’s usually flagging by late afternoon.
As always with big character shows like this, popular time slots and the best seats do tend to go first, so I wouldn’t leave booking too long if you know you want to go.

- The show is designed to be interactive, so don’t be surprised if your child wants to sing, dance and shout along from their seat.
- If your child is a big fan but tends to feel a bit shy or overwhelmed meeting characters up close, it’s worth having a chat beforehand about what to expect.
- Royal & Derngate is a fully accessible venue, with level access and designated wheelchair spaces, so do get in touch with the box office directly if you have specific access requirements.
