People walking through town in a Pride event. Carrying pride flags

Northampton Pride 2026 is Coming to Northampton Market Square — Here’s What to Expect

Northampton Pride is back in the Market Square on Saturday 11 July. It’s a lovely one to know about if you fancy a fun, feel-good afternoon in town with the kids — here’s everything I know so far.

Northampton Pride 2026: The Details

  • Date: Saturday 11 July 2026
  • Location: Northampton Market Square
  • This year marks the 9th year of Northampton Pride

Northampton Pride is organised by the Northampton Pride Committee, a dedicated group of volunteers and local partners committed to delivering a safe, welcoming and inclusive Pride for all.

The event will once again feature live performances, walkabout entertainers, food and drink stalls, community spaces and much more, creating a memorable experience for attendees of all ages.

Last year’s Pride saw thousands of people travel into Northampton to celebrate. The Pride Parade was a highlight of the day, with hundreds of participants including community groups, performers and members of the public. More than 50 stalls showcased LGBTQ+ organisations, inclusive sports clubs, local services and independent businesses, all supported by extensive social media promotion and community engagement.

What This Means for Families

With walkabout entertainers, live performances and food stalls right in the heart of Northampton, this is an easy one to fold into a normal Saturday in town — whether you’re planning your whole day around it or just wandering through on the way to the shops. It’s also a brilliant, low-key way to talk to little ones about kindness, community and celebrating who we are.

Because it’s held in the Market Square, it sits alongside other events that have popped up there this year — it’s definitely becoming a real hub for things to do in the town centre.

If you want to make more of the day, why not stay on and see what else is happening around Northampton town centre while you’re there.

As ever, I’d recommend keeping an eye on Northampton Pride’s own social media channels closer to the date for the full entertainment line-up and timings.

The events listed in this guide are run by third-party organisers, and all details were correct at the time of publication, based on information from their official websites. However, changes or cancellations can happen at short notice. To avoid any disappointment, we recommend double-checking the event information on the official websites before making plans.
