Wellingborough Carnival & Party in the Park 2026: What You Need to Know

If you’re local to Wellingborough, get this one in the diary right now — it’s happening this weekend! The Wellingborough Carnival & Party in the Park is back for 2026, and it’s exactly the kind of community weekend that brings the whole town together. Here’s everything I know so far.

When and where

The fun spans two days. On Saturday 4th July, the Carnival parade sets off at 12pm and makes its way through the town. Then on Sunday 5th July, the action moves to Party in the Park, starting at 12pm across Broad Green and Croyland Park, with music, food and activities for all the family.

It’s organised by Wellingborough Town Council, and from what they’ve shared so far, it sounds like a proper celebration of community spirit — the kind of weekend where you bump into half the people you know.

Want to get involved?

If you fancy entering a float in the parade or having a stall at Party in the Park, the Town Council has application forms on their website. There’s also a sponsorship package available if you’re a local business wanting to support the event — worth a look if that’s you.

A few things to know before you go

The Town Council hasn’t published full details on parking, road closures or the parade route yet, so if you’re driving into town on the Saturday, it’s worth checking their event page nearer the time, as carnivals often mean some streets are closed off. As ever with British summer plans, I’d pack layers and a brolly just in case, and keep an eye on the council’s Facebook page for any last-minute updates.

Whether you make it for one day or both, it’s a brilliant excuse to get out, support a proper local event, and let the kids run off some energy in the sunshine (fingers crossed!). The events listed in this guide are run by third-party organisers, and all details were correct at the time of publication, based on information from their official websites. However, changes or cancellations can happen at short notice. To avoid any disappointment, we recommend double-checking the event information on the official websites before making plans.
