Join us this summer for Green Living Day — a celebration of practical, positive ways we can all live more sustainably and care for the world around us.

Stanwick Lakes is a stunning 750-acre nature reserve just outside Stanwick, managed by the Rockingham Forest Trust. It really does make for a wonderful day out — there’s so much space, the grounds are beautiful, and it never feels overly busy even when events are on. If you haven’t been before, you can read more about it in my guide to country parks in Northamptonshire.
This is a great opportunity to get the kids involved in conversations about the environment in a really positive, hands-on way — and to come away with some gorgeous locally made goodies while you’re at it. The insect handling experience alone is going to be a big hit with little ones!
