Truck Takeover at Santa Pod Raceway – An Epic Family Day Out in Northamptonshire
If you’re looking for something a little bit different for the family this June, I’ve spotted something that I think the kids (and honestly, the grown-ups) are going to absolutely love. Truck Takeover is back at Santa Pod Raceway on 6 and 7 June 2026, and from everything I’ve read about it, it sounds like a seriously impressive weekend. We’re talking big trucks, monster trucks, jet-powered madness, stunt shows and a whole lot more. It’s the kind of day out where you genuinely don’t know where to look first — and that’s before the kids have even spotted the inflatables.
Santa Pod is right on our doorstep in Northants, which makes it one of those venues that’s brilliant for a last-minute family day out without a massive drive. Here’s the full lowdown on what to expect.
What’s on at Truck Takeover 2026?
Track Action
When we say trucks, we mean TRUCKS. Each one bigger, bolder, and more impressive than the last. And for these two days they won’t be holding up traffic, they’ll be charging like they just spotted a service station. From gleaming vintage classics to the latest jaw-dropping designs, you’ll see the best of the best up close.
The FireForce 5 Jet Dragster will be lighting up the quarter mile in just over 5 seconds — powered by a Pratt & Whitney J60 engine, it develops thrust equivalent to more than 10,000hp. Expect drag racing duels, monster truck mayhem, jet-powered madness, and enough entertainment to keep the kids smiling all day.
Meet Bumblebee
Yes, really. Bumblebee from the Transformers franchise will be making an appearance — a must for any fans in your family. There will be plenty of photo opportunities with the big yellow icon throughout the weekend.
Kids’ Entertainment
There’s a dedicated kids’ entertainment zone packed with inflatables and activities to keep little ones busy between the track action. Under 5s get in absolutely free, which is always a win.
Camping Available
Want to make a whole weekend of it? Camping is included with weekend tickets, so you can arrive, set up, and enjoy both days without the faff of travelling back and forth.
